Required for bone modeling during late embryogenesis. Regulates type I collagen synthesis in osteoblasts during their postnatal maturation (By similarity).
Rough endoplasmic reticulum membrane ; Single-pass type I membrane protein .
Highly expressed in pancreas and testis and to a lower extent in prostate, ovary, heart, thymus, small intestine and spleen.
